Architect / Client: Carl Turner Architects
An uncompromisingly modern house in South London incorporating an exposed steel frame with diagonal bracing and precast concrete floors and stairs.
Despite being clad in glass the house achieves level 5 Code for Sustainable Homes. Walls are super insulated and heating and power is provided by ground source heat integrated into the structural piles, and a photovoltaic array at roof level. Additional features include mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and rainwater harvesting.
The project featured on Grand Designs.
