As part of Waltham Forest Council’s initiative to refurbish 28 play areas in the borough, this sculpture acts a playful architectural intervention to an existing school boundary.

The artistic intent was to extend well above the adjacent fence while maintaining the scale of structural members. Structure Workshop developed the geometry with the Artist to achieve overlaps between arches at key locations to maintain stability. As such, Arches up to 6m high are formed using Ø30mm round bar
