Slot House is a tiny two storey house squeezed into a narrow break in an existing terrace.
In order to maximise the available internal space the steel frame employs small section channels orientated flat against the party walls. Further efficiency is gained by avoiding internal finishes and exposing the structure internally. This required careful consideration of the structural detailing and it was decided to weld the frame in situ, resulting in a very pared back aesthetic and removing the need for any bolts.
