2020 Homerton College
A new dining hall for Homerton College at Cambridge University.
The project includes a new servery, with kitchen and administration facilities, as well as a double height foyer space and conference reception lobby.

The public spaces are framed by a series of timber roofs which bear on a precast pigmented concrete plinth. Externally the main dining room volume is clad in ceramic faience.

"The timber is held together with interlocking joints and wooden pegs without any steel bolts or plates.........an example of the sort of unasked for thoughtfulness in which the building abounds"
Rowan Moore, The Observer.
