2013 Slip House
An uncompromisingly modern house in South London incorporating an exposed steel frame with diagonal bracing and precast concrete floors and stairs.

Despite being clad in glass the house achieves level 5 Code for Sustainable Homes. The walls are super insulated, and ground source heating is integrated into the structural piles. A photovoltaic array at roof level produces power.

Additional features include mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and rainwater harvesting.

The project featured on Grand Designs and won a RIBA award and the Manser Medal in 2013 for the best house of the year.
