This conservation project involves expansion of the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert collection of crafts, thought to be one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of glass, stone mosaics, and gold and silver masterpieces in the world.

The existing Grade I listed gallery spaces will be refurbished and extended, with reversal of several layers of non-original alterations to create a generous double height dual aspect accessible public gallery in the heart of the South Kensington V&A site.
